Who is Seven Summits Physical Therapy & Fitness?
Brady O’Mara, the founder of Seven Summits Therapy & Fitness, graduated from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) in
1997 with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
He also received a B.A. in Economics from Fairfield University in
1986. Brady is a member in good standing with the American
Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic and Private Practice
Sections, and Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. He is
CPR and First Aid Certified, and all staff is CPR Certified.
Brady has been profiled in Advance for Physical Therapy and Main
Line Today as well as several local newspapers, including the
Philadelphia Inquirer, Suburban & Wayne Times, Main Line Times,
and Daily Local News.
Brady played football and baseball in high school and rugby in college before becoming a marathoner and outdoorsman. He has completed nine marathons (3:04 PR), one triathlon, and a 2,300 mile self-supported bicycle tour through the Rockies. Since suffering a severe knee injury in 1999, he is no longer able to run without causing permanent long-term damage to his knee joint. He has replaced running with biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and racquetball. His motto is simple: “If you rest, you rust!”
Prior to opening Seven Summits, Brady worked for two and a half years on the Main Line at Paoli Hospital and three and a half years at Montgomery Hospital. He has lived in Wayne since 1999.
Why the name Seven Summits Therapy & Fitness?
Brady climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa in February 2004, and Mt Aconcagua in South America in January 2008. He plans to climb the highest mountain on each continent, collectively known as the Seven Summits.
